We've recently been celebrating winning a Gold Medal at the Society of Independent Brewers - SIBA North East beer competition! We think our Eclipse / Milk Stout is a corker of a beer, it's previously won a Silver and we're delighted that it's finally won Gold. This means that it will be entered into the national competition next year - fingers crossed for a national win!
A combination of sweet and malted roasty flavours are balanced by smooth bitterness in this full-bodied stout. First brewed some years ago to celebrate our 250th gyle of beer at the brewery. A delicate hint of vanilla and velvety mouthfeel from milk sugars work together to enhance the dark malt character of this beer.
