Brewery Tour & Tasting

While being one of the smallest brewery tours, I’d have to say it’s one of the best.

Forget your million litre fermenting tanks that the makers of Stella or Heineken have lying round the place, real brewing is small volume, experimental beers and a guide who doesn’t have to toe the party line or repeat whatever the marketing department tell them to do.

Here you get a small brewery, honesty and a conversation that is as much dependent upon you the guest as the guide.

If you want to see brewing done on a huge scale then go somewhere else, if you actually want to learn something and see beer brewing that’s tantalisingly close to what you would want to do if you had a decent redundancy settlement (and no kids) then come here.

We had a really enjoyable tour of the First and Last brewery. Sam was an inspiration and his passion for his product and the local area are obvious. Very informative and lovely to learn how the brewery evolved, the beer is made and where the names of the different brews come from. Thank you Sam and team for a great visit and exceptional beer. We’ll definitely return.
