A hoppy, oaty pale that packs a punch. Motueka, Citra & Amarillo hops give zingy lime flavours with a backdrop of tropical lushness.

Onco Fonco is Welsh for 'her over there'. We've named this beer after the brilliant Welsh band who helped keep us sane during the lockdown months with their live streamed gigs. Check out their social pages for those gigs and show them a bit of love.

2023 Brew is less dramatic

In 2022 Onco Fonco was out in a league of its own as the hoppiest oatiest lower alcohol beer - see my 2022 review. For my tastes the new recipe is less exciting and dramatic, almost a lower alcohol Mad Jack Ha, so elderflower has taken over as my favourite but Onco Fonco remains a very drinkable 3% ABV session ale and I'm about to get some more!

Refreshing and Sharp

This is deliciously hoppy yet light and oaty. It has the flavour punch needed to give the choice of drinking chilled on a hot day or at cellar temperature. At 3% ABV it's a good place to start if the rugby or football sets you off on an early session!
