#1 - Honey Honey / Amber
Our first release to celebrate F&L's 10 years of brewing is a Honey Amber beer. 'Honey, Honey' is a honey infused amber ale brewed in collaboration with the Northumberland Honey Company.

We've been talking about brewing a honey beer for a long, long time. We even piloted one many years ago with our friend Martin, and for some reason it just never happened until now (we finally got there Martin - we hope you like it!). This beer seemed like the perfect one to kick off our (slightly insane) idea of 10 new beers in a year. We aim for each of these beers to reflect a core value of the brewery - what makes us tick - and hopefully communicate why we do what we do with our beer, our planet and our community. This one ticks a few boxes for us, using local honey, from local bees really excites us, as anyone who is familiar with our seasonal foraged beers will know, and we love to work in partnership with like minded individuals, businesses and organisations.
Sometimes, occasionally, everything just falls into place and you feel like it's meant to be. A few months ago we were introduced to Luke & Suzie from the Northumberland Honey Company who just happened to be looking for someone to brew a honey beer with them! They're so passionate about bee keeping (Luke has been doing so since he was 10 years old) and they try to run their business as sustainably as they can. As you can imagine, the honey they produce is fantastic, but they don't just stop there.......cosmetics, candles, sparkling mead....oh the sparkling mead!! Finally to the beer, 'Honey Honey' is a 4.5% amber style beer. Brewed with some fantastic speciality malts and the finest Northumberland honey; we are really proud of this one! Expect toffee notes with an hint of burnt sugar, a lightly fruity & honeyed aroma balanced with a delicious malty finish.
